Relaxing is just as important to both body and mind as excersicing and a balanced diet. Miley's a perfect example of an over-achiver but she definitely knows when to relax and find time for herself. Here's the top 10 Miley-inspired ideas to relax...
1.Smile
Miley was born named Destiny Hope but ever since she was a baby she was all smiles. Soon after her nickname "Smiley" turned to "Miley" and now it's her official name and of course the one the world knows her for. What can be more Miley-inspired than this: smile! Proved to be a stress-reliever, smiling brights up your face making you look more atractive and approchable. It's also said to be enough to make you feel and be percived as successful. A smile can increase your immune system, lowers your blood pressure and release endorphins into your system. Whenever you can, take it a step further and LAUGH [out loud]!
Take your dog for a walk: your furry BFF and walking are a perfect relax combo.
2. Play with your Dog
Miley's a big animals person, she has a couple dogs, her family owns a bunch more and back in TN she has horses and hens too. Pets are wonderful de-stressors, especially when they are well-taken care of. Taking care of your pet dogs, cats, birds, or other pets is a good way to relieve yourself of stress from the demanding human world. Have fun with your dogs, let them lie close to you, and play! Take your dogs for a walk: being with your furry bff and walking are both relaxing, plus you're outdoors, excercising and could always meet other cute strangers with dogs!
3.Relax by the Pool
Living in sunny LA, Miley loves laying by the pool all year round. She says she loved just feeling the sun and doing nothing. With her hectic shedules it's easy to understand why she longs for those days. They might not be as crazy, but nowadays we all live quite busy lifes. It seems like the busier you are the better, so even when we're trying to relax it might be hard to choose something where we literaly do nothing. Or not! Just go get some sun-block and lay under the sun! If you have a pool, use it and if you don't go to your garden, the park or plan a day with friends to any gym or even hotel with an outside pool. 4. Find a Hobby
We all have something we love.. so act on it! If you love singing, take some classes. If you always wanted to play the guitar, go for it. Miley made her dreams come true with her passion for singing and acting, that's already super inspiring and she gets to do what she loves every day. 5. Pamper yourself
The little things count, big way. Miley loves getting her nails done. She stops by nail salons by herself or more often with a couple friends, and has both hands and toe nails done. Her latest favourite colour is red. You needn't spend fortunes on this though, either having a manicure or pedicure every once in a while is simply wonderful - but every other day you can take some time at home and do it yourself.

For your feet try soaking them in warm water with salt for 10 minutes, you add some drops of essential oils too. Then dry them gently and give them a mini massage with an hydratating creme. Taking care of your feet is specially stress reducing. The other pampering musts: have a bubble bath, try a sauna, and give yourself little treats now and then from a better shampoo to a cupcake. Whatever puts you first and makes you feel special.
6. Take a Power Nap
Miley admits one of her all-favourite things to do is sleeping. She loves it so much, she naps every chance she gets - specially during hectic touring. Teenagers need up to 10 hours of sleep a day, and afterwards 8 do fine - at least 6, please! An early night is the perfect treat to your body, so give it a try every now and then. There's a million benefits in sleeping, from keeping your heart healthy, to preventing depression, and the classic: your body repairs during sleep. In fact, sleep is directly assosiated with stress. When you don't get enough sleep your body functions are put on high alert which causes an increase in blood pressure and a production of stress hormones. We all know when we don't sleep well everything that comes our way bugs us that much more. If you're having trouble sleeping try with some relaxing techniques, and if you did sleep well but are still feeling a bit sleepy... take a power nap, just like Miley! [Short day-time naps or] Power Naps are an effective and refreshing alternative to caffeine, plus they protect your health and make you more productive. People who nap at work have much lower levels of stress. Napping also improves memory, cognitive function and mood. Whoa!
7.Hang-out with Friends & Family
Whatever you do, with a friend will be that much better. Wheater you're venting with your best friend, or laughing with new socials. You know it'll make you feel that much better. Follow Miley's lead: be close to your family and hang out with your friends more. Invite friends over for lunch, go out for dinner, or get some fresh air together bike-riding. Everything is better with a little help from your friends.
9. Listening to Music
What can inspire you to listen to music more than Miley? If you aren't already, push play on your favourite Miley album and you'll literally start relaxing. Sing out loud with your favourite songs when you need to vent, or play soft balads when you need some peace of mind. You know it always works! Studies show listening to music and subconsciously learning the melody and words can help protect you from stress. Miley's being really helpful, isn't she!
10. Get Disconnected
Miley closed her Twitter. You prolly don't need to close yours, but it's good to follow that trend - at least for a little while!! Sharing and having tons of people to talk to can be so much fun.. it gets addicted. And since everybody does it it's hard to see where we go wrong. We can all remember Miley complaining about her lack of privacy... on her Twitter! The rest of us might not be complaining about privacy, but we might indeed be as blind to our own ironis.
"I'm a lot less on my phone, I'm a little bit more social," Miley said. "I have a lot more real friends as opposed to friends who are on the Internet who I'm talking to - which is like not cool, not safe, not fun and most likely not real. I think everything is just better when you're not so wrapped up on the web.”
Miley admits she got carried away with the fun of posting her every thought online, and says it took months for her to realise it was actually damaging her life. She couldn’t figure out why she was being followed
