THE BENEFITS OF REGULAR EXCERCISE
We all know excercise is good for us, but we usually forget just how good - and quit or well... leave it for "later". There's a million ways to excersice you just need to find yours to love, then again these few reasons might just do it all by themseleves!
HELPS THE BRAIN
Development, cognition and memory. Exersice has been proven stimulate the formation of new brain cells, and the areas of the
brain stimulated by excercise are the same ones that are responsable for memory and learning. Rules out claiming you have no
time to exercise 30 minutes a day cos you have to study. ;)
MAKES YOU HAPPY
When you exercise your body creates endorphins along with brain chemicals that actually make you feel happier and more
relaxed. Add this up to how much more confident you'll be about your body and whoa: all smiles. Seriously... studies show
exercise promotes mental health and reduces symptoms of depression - just 30 minutes from 3 to 5 times a day can make
significant improvements.
SLEEP BETTER
The natural dip in body temperature around 5 hours after exercising helps you fall asleep. Not to mention it's easier when you're
physically tired. Even if you don't have trouble sleeping exercising helps you fall asleep faster and deeper, which is always a plus
cos sleeping helps your concentration, productivity, mood and skin.
FULL OF ENERGY
Your body develops what it needs, it realises what it needs given what you make it do. When you're trained it realises you want to
do more, and prepares for it. You'll have more energy to do more - not just during gym class. Of course, you also need to eat and
sleep what it needs to be energized, but you're most likely already doing that - so add excersice to the list. Physical activity
improves your cardiovascular fitness - when your heart and your lungs are working more efficiently, aka you'll use your energy more
effectivly being able to do more [of what you love].
STAY FIT
Yup exercise helps you manage your weight. Just remember it's not just this. It's not about hitting the gym when you eat too much
or so, it doesn't work like that at all. In fact when you exercise regulary, you'll be burning more calories all day long and not just
when you're actually exercising. What's regulary? At least one day yup, one day nope (3 or 4 times a week), for this particualr
thing. Then again just remember some excersice is better than none, and more is better than less. Do what you can and aim for
30 daily minutes. Exercising tones and strenghten your muscles and by doing so it promotes bone formation and strengh.
LIVE LONGER
Studies show people who exercise reduce their risk of dying prematurely. Plus let's face it... it improves cardiovascular health,
reducing blood pressure and risks of strokes, lowers cholesterol, prevents and controls diabetes, makes your muscles and bones
stronger, keeps your brain working and lets you sleep - it will be good for you. Get moving!
