MILEY FAVOURITE FOODS RECIPES
Over the years Miley's talked alot about her favourite foods - and has been adding more to the list, including some really weird tastes. But weird can be a lot of fun so be sure to try a bit of everything and see what you like, you might end up sharing a few favourites!!

Miley even went through a vegetarian phase too - which needs extra info on what you need to eat + taking vitamin B12. She claims her mum is an amazing cook and there's nothing better than her pasta, while her dad can just mak hot cocoa with smarsh marshmallows. While she confesses she should eat better than she does, she has been improving through the years and adopted great messures already like dropping sugar sodas. Her other top favs go from the simple grilled cheese, classics exotics chinese and sushi, all american pumpkin pie, international enchiladas, to the one-of-a-kind pizza with pinneaple, eggs with syrup, and of course ketchup with everything - even ketchup out of the bottle (as seen on live tv). There's really a bit of everything in here... Enjoyyyy yummmmmm!

GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH

One of Miley's favourite foods ever is the always simple and yummy: grilled cheese sandwich. She even listed her sandwich electric grill as one of her top favourite items - and gave one away on MTV. You can get one just like it online [here] or simply use the one you have at home ;] If wanna try it right-right now and don't have any here's a recipe that works with nonstick pans too. Enjoy your sandwich just like Miley!

Ingredients
4 slices white bread
3 tablespoons butter, divided
2 slices Cheddar cheese

Directions @ sandwich electric grill
Place the sandwhiches in the grill, close and wait til the griller lets you know it's ready.

Prep Time: 5 Min
Cook Time: 15 Min
Preheat skillet over medium heat. Generously butter one side of a slice of bread. Place bread butter-side-down onto skillet bottom and add 1 slice of cheese. Butter a second slice of bread on one side and place butter-side-up on top of sandwich. Grill until lightly browned and flip over; continue grilling until cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining 2 slices of bread, butter and slice of cheese.

HEALTHY TIP: To make this food balanced and actually healthy for you (aka you can eat it more often!) add some veggies to it. You can add some green into the sandwhich itself or/and cut some tomate along with it. Veggies are a lot easier to eat with a lot of cheese! N cheese is a lot better for you with veggies - perfect match! Miley loves to eat them with ketchup, that's better than without it ;)

PUMKIN PIE
Directions
Pate Brisee: In a food processor, place the flour, salt, and sugar and process until combined. Add the butter and process until the mixture resembles coarse meal (about 15 seconds). Pour 1/8 cup (30 ml) water in a slow, steady stream, through the feed tube until the dough just holds together when pinched. If necessary, add more water. Do not process more than 30 seconds.

Turn the dough onto your work surface and gather into a ball. Flatten into a disk, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to one hour before using. This will chill the butter and relax the gluten in the flour.

After the dough has chilled sufficiently, place on a lightly floured surface, and roll into a 13 inch (33 cm) circle. (To prevent the pastry from sticking to the counter and to ensure uniform thickness, keep lifting up and turning the pastry a quarter turn as you roll (always roll from the center of the pastry outwards).) Fold the dough in half and gently transfer to a 9 inch (23 cm) pie pan. Brush off any excess flour and tuck the overhanging pastry under itself. Use a fork to make a decorative border.

Alternatively, you can trim the pastry to the edge of the pie pan. With the remaining pastry make decorative cut-outs (leaves, pumpkins, etc.) and with a little water, attach them around the lip of the pie pan. Refrigerate the pastry, covered with plastic wrap, for about 30 minutes before pouring in the filling.

Pecan and Gingersnap Layer: Toast pecans in a 350 degree F (180 degree C) oven for 8 minutes or until lightly browned and aromatic. Cool and then place the pecans in a food processor and process until finely ground. Combine the ground pecans with the crushed gingersnap cookies. Press this mixture evenly onto the bottom and up the sides of the unbaked pie crust. Cover and return the pastry to the refrigerator while you make the pumpkin filling.

Increase the oven temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and place rack in bottom third of the oven.

Make the Pumpkin Filling: In a large bowl lightly whisk the eggs. Add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie shell and place on a large baking pan to catch any spills. Bake the pie for about 45 to 55 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust has browned (the center will still look wet). (A knife inserted about 1 inch (2.54 cm) from side of pan will come out almost clean.)

Place the baked pie on a wire rack to cool. Serve at room temperature with maple whipped cream. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.

Makes one 9 inch (23 cm) pie.

Make the Maple Whipped Cream:

Place the heavy whipping cream and maple syrup in bowl of your electric mixer. With the whisk attachment, whip the cream until soft peaks form.

Ingredients

Pate Brisee (Short Crust Pastry):

1 1/4 cups (175 grams) all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon (14 grams) granulated white sugar

1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, chilled, and cut into 1 inch (2.54 cm) pieces

1/8 to 1/4 cup (30 - 60 ml) ice water

Pecan and Gingersnap Layer: (optional)

1/4 cup (25 grams) pecans, toasted and ground

1/4 cup (25 grams) crushed gingersnap cookies

Pumpkin Filling:

3 large eggs

2 cups fresh pumpkin puree or 1 - 15 ounce can (425 grams) pure pumpkin

1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup (110 grams) light brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1/2 teaspoon salt

Maple Whipped Cream:

1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream

1 1/2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

BANANA CAKE
Banana Cake Recipe
HEALTHY TIP: Use brown sugar and whole wheat flour instead of regular ones, or mix them up, as often as you can. In other words, bake this banana cake often!
Ingredients
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 large bananas)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup (120 ml) low-fat yogurt
1/4 cup (60 ml) canola or corn oil, or melted butter
3/4 cup (175 grams) light brown sugar
1 large egg or 2 large (60 grams) egg whites
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup (130 grams) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (60 grams) whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) and place the rack in the center of the oven. Spray an 8 x 4 inch (20 x 10 cm) loaf pan with a nonstick vegetable cooking spray.

In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the baking soda and yogurt. Allow to sit while you prepare the rest of the batter.

Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, whisk together the oil, sugar, egg, and vanilla.

In another large bowl, whisk together the flours, baking powder, ground cinnamon and salt.

Then combine the banana mixture with the oil mixture and then add to the flour mixture. Stir just until all the ingredients are moistened. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 45 - 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Remove from oven and place on a wire rack to cool.

Makes one loaf (about 12 slices).

Ingredients
Dark chocolate
1/4 cup sugar
4 cups milk
Miniature marshmallows

Directions
In a medium saucepan, heat milk to scalding. Add the chocolate and let it melt. Stir to blended. Serve with mini marshmallows. Serves 4.

HEALTHY TIP: You may try the recipe with cocoa powder but the darker the chocolate the better so cacao is better and real dark chocolate better even. When picking chocolate make sure it's the real thing, the simple cup chocolate. Dark chocolate has antioxidants that do wonders for your body (including your skin).
