HEALTHY EATING BASICS
Diet sounds bad. We call diet to those torturous things we put ourselves through to loose weight... But literally, diet is whatever we eat on a daily basis - our habbits. Yes, most diets are bad. Unfortunately, it's not just the crazy ones but our daily diet that tends to be very worse one kind. Cos we won't get off it after a couple days when it's over or we get tired of it. We stick with our habbits, full of misinformations and too little of what our body needs. Let's change the word diet for healthy eating, and hopefully soon enough diet and healthy eating will be the same word to you too. These keys are all about giving your body what it needs while you continue to loooove food!
Miley is all about a healthy body image, she's done campaigns for Got Milk? and always stresses how she doesn't aim for a "supermodel" body and could never starve herself either. Healthy eating is all about EATING. That's the first thing to remember and actually a key rule. We asosiate healthy to lettuce - to being hungry. But that's not the case at all. Yes, you should include lettuce and/or other veggies to your diet but never starve. Eat every 3 to 5 hours. Obsessing over how much is "too much" won't get you anywhere. Instead stick to your 3 to 5 hours between meals, aka don't eat snacks in between. N don't let more than 5 hours go between meals ever. After 5 hours our body starts "eating itself" for the energy it needs, and guess what... it doesn't eat up the fat, it goes for the muscle and bone structures. In the long run it's really harmful, so make a habbit of watching the hours: to eat! First thing to do: have breakfast. Miley loves cereals so buy yourself your fav kind and have them with milk and strawberries or your fav fruit, it's a very complete and healthy combo.
You can and should eat everything. Variety is a key to a good diet, the more variety the more chances you'll be getting all the nutrients you need. Nope, it doesn't mean variety of candy, it's variety of everything! Aka candy is one of the millions of stuff you should be eating. Aka: it doesn't mean you can't have it either. Just remember fast food and all those stuff we know we shouldn't be eating, can't be ALL our diet. It's an extra but not what your body needs, so if you're gonna eat it, make up for it with more of the good stuff. For instance, if you go to McDonalds aim to eat fish one more time that same week. Try new recipes, go to international restaurants or simply widen your list of veggies and fruits. You'll find stuff you love, stick with them and keep looking for more.
All your meals should include the 3 food groups.
